The AV-8 team poses for a group photo with the final U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier inducted at Fleet Readiness Center East for Planned Maintenance Interval 1, during which the aircraft fly into and out of the depot. The photo was taken prior to the completed aircraft’s delivery to Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. Moving forward, FRCE will perform PMI-D service on the platform. This means the aircraft will arrive to the depot already disassembled – with the wing and engine removed – and will leave the same way.
