A U.S. sailor rigs an accommodation ladder aboard guided missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) to allow easy access for navigation pilots to crossdeck while in the Red Sea prior to the ship transiting the Suez Canal, April 17, 2012. Nitze was deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility to conduct maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
