U.S. Air Force Col. Kurt Wendt, 501st Combat Support Wing commander, Col. Jason Schmidt, 501st CSW vice commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Daniel Keene, 501st CSW command chief, met with Airmen and staff from the 501st CSW Regional Contracting Office and the 501st CSW Financial Management office at RAF Alconbury, England, Sept. 30, 2019 on the busiest day of the year. Sept. 30 is the culmination of the entire year’s worth of work and is traditionally a night where the midnight oil is burned to see where all the contracts are awarded and where every last dollar is obligated to meet mission demands.
