NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Oct. 19, 2019) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Dramane Cotton, from Lima, Ohio, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) deck department, rigs the messenger line to send the mooring line to the pier during a sea and anchor training evolution on the ship's fantail. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
