Basic Leadership Course is a military leadership course that develops leadership skills in future noncommissioned-officers and maintains readiness within the Army. A distinguished honor graduate is a Soldier who graduated at the top of their class, he or she possesses a wide variety of Army knowledge, displays proper military bearing, character, and is physically fit. BLC is a 22-day course held in an overseas theater location that focuses on six leader core competencies: readiness, leadership, training management, communications, operations, and program management.
