Soldiers from the 82nd Engineer Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, fielded the AN/PSS-14 Mine Detector Oct. 21 - 25. The system employs a state-of-the-art metal detector and ground penetrating radar to achieve a high probability of detection. The AN/PSS-14 reliably and consistently detects both antitank and antipersonnel mines.
