From the Duncan, Brown went aboard another destroyer, the USS Tucker, DD 875. He served in the Korean War
He took up electronics work and television repair and eventually joined the Idaho Air National Guard at Gowen Field in Boise. He spent 35 years on Gowen as the base electrician. He credits the Navy for teaching him electronics and helping him establish a life career.
