Bob Anderson, Chapter Secretary of the 42nd Rainbow Division Association "salutes" Village of Garden City Officials-- Mayor,Theresa Trouve, Village Administrator Ralph V Suozzi, and Superintendent of Public Works Joseph DiFranciisco, after presenting them plaques of appreciation from the 42nd Rainbow Division Association for upgrading the grounds around the 42nd Division Memorial. The memorial marks the location of Camp Mills where the division was organized in 191. .The Rainbow Division Veterans Foundation provides wreaths to be laid at locations of historical significance to the 42nd Infantry Division on veterans day. Other locations honored are at Fort Drum and Fort Dix, the United States Military Academy, Georgia and Alabama.
