SŁUPSK, Poland (Nov. 13, 2019) – U.S. Navy Capt. Jon Grant, center, relinquished command of Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo to Capt. Eric Williams, center left, in a ceremony in Slupsk, Poland, on Wed., Nov. 13, 2019. They're standing with local school officials and junior military cadets that the Navy has established community partnerships with over the past two years. Personnel assigned to NSF Redzikowo and Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) Poland participated in the ceremony held at the Słupsk Police Academy. NSF Redzikowo is the first U.S. installation in Poland and is the Navy’s newest installation that officially opened in 2016 and will be home to Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System Poland when construction is completed. NSF Redzikowo’s mission is to provide essential core, safety, security, housing and other lines of operations to AAMDS Poland and works jointly with the Polish Force Protection Battalion in ensuring the security and safety of the AAMDS site.
