U.S. Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape specialists attempt to acquire satellite signals using Combat Survivor Evader Locator radios at a training area near Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Oct. 22, 2019. The SERE specialists were participating in a personnel recovery training scenario, as part of a joint exercise with the Qatar Emiri Air Force. CSEL radios allow rescues forces at the Joint Personnel Recovery Center at Al Udeid to receive messages from anywhere in the world, locate and authenticate personnel.
