U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Boden Fish poses for a photo on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 6, 2019. Boden, a native of Cimarron, N.M., is a field radio operator with 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group. His skills provide a critical capability during ANGLICO's forward observation and call-for-fire missions.
“Being a part of 5th ANGLICO has given me the opportunity to travel to seven countries during the past year I’ve been stationed in Okinawa,” said Boden. “[It] also has allowed me to work with foreign militaries, and that’s the best experience I’ve had in the Marine Corps.”
Boden said he joined the Marine Corps due to the vast training the organization provides, and the honorable lineage of the Marines that came before him. Boden has extended his overseas time for another year in Okinawa saying, “I was skeptical of Okinawa at first, however, it has been an experience unlike any other.” (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
