Advisors from the 370th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron use their existing relationships with the Iraqis to integrate Task Force-Warhawk, as the senior airfield authority, with the Taji Air Base commander to help facilitate repairs on the runway. The 577th Expeditionary Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force Squadron, along with the U.S. Army 124th Engineer Company, completed multiple repairs to the runway at Camp Taji, Iraq. The U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center Airfield Pavement Evaluation Team identified more than 20 deficiencies on the runway and mobility aircraft taxiway during an assessment earlier in the year. Task Force-Air advisors work to build and improve processes and capabilities within the Iraqi Air Enterprise to enable partner capacity. These efforts will ensure the Iraqi Air Enterprise is able to defend their national sovereignty and become an effective, long-term partner in the region. (U.S. Air Force photos by Tech. Sgt.
