The first crewed Saturn V flight, Apollo 8, launched Dec. 21, 1968, from Launch Complex 39 at John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This human-rated super heavy-lift launch vehicle was used by NASA from 1967 to 1973. This graphic was created commemorate the first manned Saturn V launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
