A crate designed to carry the 25-foot long skis the LC-130s flown by the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard use for landing, under construction at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, N.Y. in November, 2019. The 109th Airlift Wing's Logistical Readiness Squadron designed the new crates to carry the 25-foot long skis that the wing's LC-130s use to land on snow and ice in the Arctic, Antarctic and Greenland, to replace older versions that were no longer serviceable.
