200123-N-TJ564-0042 KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 23, 2020) Army 1st Lt. Connor Sullivan, assigned to the 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, gives instructions to Sgt. 1st Class Roderick Thompson, Sgt. Neil Edmund, Spc. Jordan Willoughby, and Spc. Jordan Gomes for Exercise Sudden Response (SR) 20. Military units comprising the Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF) are participating in exercise, which is taking place in Killeen, Austin and Ft. Hood, Texas from Jan. 23-29. As part of the exercise, teams are rehearsing force and equipment employment, life-saving operations and web-based command and control collaborative tools to ensure their ability to execute Defense Support of Civil Authority (DSCA) missions. The DCRF is comprised of approximately 5,200 personnel from military units located throughout the nation who come together to help fellow Americans in the event of a catastrophic crisis response.
