Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel aboard Auxiliary Vessel 44310 patrol in the Port of Baltimore during the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner." Ultimately, the Bicentennial commemoration is a salute to all sailors, Coast Guardsmen and Marines who fought gallantly against great odds in the 1812 conflict and those since, as well as being always ready to provide compassionate humanitarian aid whenever and wherever catastrophe strikes (U.S. Navy photo by Joseph P.
