Nierenberg Hall located at the University of California, San Diego, Jan. 31, where the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron’s and research teams work hand in hand to improve the weather forecast. Scientists led by Scripps and the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes, in partnership with the 53rd WRS, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Aviation’s National Weather Service and Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, will be on standby to fly through these ARs over the Pacific to gather data to improve forecasts.
