Northern Strike 20-2/”Winter Strike” is a National Guard Bureau-sponsored exercise uniting service members from several U.S. states and coalition nations from January 20-26, 2020 at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Mich., part of Northern Michigan’s joint military training complex facilitated by the Michigan National Guard. As part of the Northern Strike exercise program, NS 20-2/”Winter Strike” is an accredited Joint National Training Capability exercise that capitalizes on the Michigan National Guard’s premier facilities – including more than 145,000 acres of ground maneuver area and the largest military operating airspace east of the Mississippi River – as a venue for U.S. and coalition forces to receive adaptive, joint fires readiness-building opportunities for military units from all service branches in challenging weather conditions.
