    SAN DIEGO (Feb. 20, 2020) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class David Wilson, a Sailor assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego's (NMCSD) orthopedics department cast room, uses a cast saw to remove casts from an infant patient’s leg Feb. 20. NMCSD's orthopedics department provides care to over 2,500 pediatric patients a year. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
