U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Riley L. Stewart inspects a PhantomIRxr PAS-28 extended range thermal binocular within the optics maintenance structure of a simulated forward operating base during a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 26, 2020. The MCCRE is a formal unit evaluation conducted by qualified Marines to ensure standardization and combat readiness in preparation for operational deployments.
