LOPBURI, Thailand – Thai Soldiers with the Special Operation Unit, King’s Guard, and a U.S. Army Green Beret from 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) enter a U.S. Navy MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Firehawks" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 85 to conduct Fast Rope Insertion Extraction System (FRIES), Feb. 25, 2020, at Erawan Camp, Lopburi, Kingdom of Thailand, in support of Cobra Gold. Exercise Cobra Gold 20, in its 39th iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together multinational forces to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
