200215-N-SB659-1003 TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Feb. 15, 2020) Equipment Operator 2nd Class Scott Valente, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Tinian, assists with the offload of civil engineering support equipment during Detail Tinian’s embarkation to the island for future projects. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
