Civil engineers are on the frontlines of promoting interoperability with partner nations. On 24 Feb 2020, the 786 CES Power Production shop hosted Icelandic Coast Guard Commander, Captain Jon Gudnason, and US Navy Senior Defense Official, CDR Jason Neal, at Ramstein AB. SSgt Ryan Whipple (pictured) and his team exhibited operations, maintenance and functionality of the BAK-12 and BAK-14 Aircraft Arresting Systems for consideration in employing the same methods to support aircraft in Iceland.
