This past weekend, the Office of the Director of Civil Engineers bid farewell to Ms Marlow Gogel as she retired after nearly 37 years of service in the Air Force Civil Engineer community. This outstanding civilian Airman Engineer has made enormous contributions to the improvement of the Air Force facilities and housing portfolios. From her role as a Facility Interior Designer in Tactical Air Command (TAC) to serving as a Family Housing Construction Project Manager in Air Combat Command (ACC), her efforts have left a lasting impact on our Air Force. A valued member of the AF/A4C team since 2011, Ms Gogel retired as the Housing Program Manager at Headquarters Air Force, where she notably advocated for the dormitory investment strategy to cost-effectively sustain and modernize 57,000 permanent party dormitory rooms.
We are grateful to Ms Gogel for her contributions to our service, and we wish her all the best in this next chapter of life.
