U.S. Army Soldiers from the 331st Transportation Company, 11th Trans. Battalion, 7th Trans. Brigade (Expeditionary) communicate through radio to guide the floating Causeway Pier into the “duck-pond” during Joint Logistics-Over-the-Shore exercise Native Fury 20 in the United Arab Emirates, March 11, 2020. The “Pier-stab”, a phrase for the beaching of the pier, must happen at peak high tide. Once the Trident Pier has beached itself, a pair of bulldozers will work quickly to blend terrain and anchor the Causeway. Native Fury 20 is a joint exercise involving live fire and maneuver training with urban environment training facilities, skill development and exchange with the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, ship-to-shore offloads of personnel, equipment and humanitarian resources.
