Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class John Domingues, from Phoenix, shows Midshipmen 2nd Class Paul Cho from Nyack, N.Y., how to handle a MK-38 25 mm machine gun before a small craft attack team gunnery qualification exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Midshipmen are embarked aboard Peleliu as part of the pacific training for midshipmen where they experience shipboard life prior to graduating. Peleliu is the flagship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and is underway conducting pre-deployment training with the Whidbey Island-class docking landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20).
