Members of the Texas Air National Guard, Army National Guard, and the Texas State Guard conduct training on the Texas Interoperation Communication Package (TICP). 16 TICPs are available to offer Voice Over IP phones, UHF and VHF radio as well as internet access. The stations also include laptops as well as a diesel generator to provide independent power. The TICP stations allow Texas Military Department service members to provide communication support to federal, state, and local disaster response partners.
