Sub-contractors from New Orleans and the surrounding area work to get 3000 hospital rooms up and running at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, April 1, 2020. Physicians, nurses, hospital corpsmen and other medical professionals provided by the Navy in support of the Department of Defense COVID-19 response will man many of these stations. This group of specialized Sailors make up the Expeditionary Medical Facility New Orleans Detachment. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
