New Endangered Species Biologist Jessup Weichelt is shown Nov. 26, 2019, at his office with the Directorate of Public Works Environmental Division Natural Resources Branch (NRB) at Fort McCoy, Wis. In his position, he replaces biologist Tim Wilder, who became the NRB chief. Weichert said he will be a steward of the habitat for endangered species at Fort McCoy while making sure the Army mission still gets accomplished. He is responsible for making sure all reports are provided to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the installation's endangered species and will complete any consultation for current and new listed species.
