USACE Commanding General Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite meets with Jacksonville District engineers and contractors at the Miami Beach Convention Center earlier today.
USACE is constructing an alternate care facility at the Miami Beach Convention Center in support of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Construction of the facility began Tuesday, with work expected to be complete by April 27.
Jacksonville District staff will supervise performance of the contract to ensure the work meets the specifications desired by medical professionals. Upon completion, the facility will be run by state and local officials.
