Soldiers assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command and Special Operations Command-Central assemble cloth face coverings on MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., April 16, 2020. The MacDill-based riggers recently repurposed their sewing machines to join military riggers around the world in creating face coverings to help fight the spread of COVID-19. The coverings are being distributed to mission essential special operations personnel in support of health, safety and mission readiness. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends individuals should routinely wash cloth face coverings in a washing machine depending on frequency of use.
