Meet the Mallari family! (From left to right) Yasmin, 18, is an alumni of Mascoutah High School and attends Southwestern Illinois College. Florencio, 13, is a 7th grader at Mascoutah Middle School. He enjoys playing the tenor and alto saxophone and wrestling. Nyssa, 17, is a senior at Mascoutah High School and plans to attend St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas in the fall. Romelo, 7, is in the 1st grade at Wingate Elementary and the only one of the Mallari crew to be born in the United States!
The Mallari family thought their life in the military was finished last year. After their dad's retirement ceremony, he found out he made Chief and as a family they decided to continue their journey in the United States Air Force!
Now, the family is preparing for yet another move but this time they won't all be going. Both girls will be saying goodbye to their brothers and parents to continue their education. As they say goodbye, Yasmin and Nyssa are taking memories of their childhood in Japan and England with them.
