Maria Valadez and Christie Hensley, Child Development Center South toddler program assistants, wave to a child during an inverse drive-thru parade to celebrate the Month of the Military Child April 16. Cars lined up for the children to see their teachers and other staff members, and vice-versa, from all three Tinker CDCs and the Tinker Youth Center. Many children from the four facilities are currently staying safer-at-home to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. 72nd Air Base Wing and 552nd Air Control Wing leadership joined staff members to see children and their families drive through the pickup loop to wave at their teachers who were holding colorful signs and giving the children words of encouragement and support. The Month of the Military Child is celebrated every April as a way to recognize military children for their resiliency and sacrifices. (U.S. Air Force photo/Kelly White)
