Staff Sgt. Christine Sulwer, J4 Logistics, Task Force Guardian Arizona, Arizona Air National Guard, concentrates while practicing stitching with an industrial sewing machine as she prepares to sew surgical masks that will be distributed to the Soldiers and Airmen of Task Force Guardian (TFG) Arizona at the Combined Surface Maintenance Shops (CSMS) on Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 10, 2020.
Soldiers and Airmen of TFG were provided personal protection equipment in the form of washable, cloth surgical masks to allow them to continue supporting Customs and Border Protection while protecting themselves and others working in close proximity. The project concluded on April 29, with 1300 surgical masks being produced by the volunteers.
