Longtime Fort McCoy Forester James Kerkman stands near the garrison flagpole April 24, 2020, at Fort McCoy, Wis. This was taken moments before a special U.S. flag was flown on the pole that was later given to Kerkman honoring 35 years of civil service to the Army.
