Bill Reed, an environmental protection specialist with the 72nd Civil Engineering Squadron, shows a 55-gallon drum that is filled with hazardous lab waste. After all tests have been ran on the samples the Environmental Lab receives, the hazardous materials are put in the drums and the barrel yard will pick them up for proper disposal in landfills specifically for that kind of material.
