This week we will honor those who served in the Vietnam War. The war was between the communist government of North Vietnam and South Vietnam backed by their ally, the United States. It is considered to be one of the longest conflicts in United States history. Approximately 2.7 million American men and women served in Vietnam. Today, we say, “Thank You” to all of our Vietnam veterans. (U.S. Marine Corps graphic by Lance Cpl. Haley McMenamin)
