The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center Team developed a three-step process for assessing regionally adjusted COVID-19 outcomes in Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa. The process includes epidemiological modeling to determine the exposure rate of COVID-19 within the population, an analysis of population health outcomes of COVID-19 based upon demographic and population health profiles, and institutional requirements for efficient COVID-19 management, including the potential need for hospital and ICU beds, medical personnel, personal protective equipment and ventilators.
