A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon, assigned to the 480th Fighter Squadron, taxis off at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, to participate in a large force exercise within the North Sea airspace, U.K., May 27, 2020. The purpose of this LFE was to conduct participating units to conduct training with other U.S Air Forces in Europe units in order to sharpen combat readiness and increase tactical proficiency to maintain a ready force capable of ensuring the collective defense of the NATO alliance.
