Chief Maritime Enforcement Specialist Rob Wills of the U.S. Coast Guard's Maritime Security Response Team, provides security for his joint boarding team of U.S. Coast Guard and Senegalese navy members while conducting a routine inspection of a vessel fishing in Senegal's Exclusive Economic Zone. The U.S. Coast Guard has partnered up with the guided-missile frigate USS Simpson (FFG 56) and the Senegalese navy to support African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS), in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
