Due to the severe drought that has recently gripped Zimbabwe, many villagers are dependent on food items donated by the The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Food Programme (WFP). Both USAID and WFP continue to provide much needed food to over 1.8 million people in the nation of Zimbabwe.WFP and USAID have also launched a communications campaign to pass important health, safety and hygiene information, via SMS, radio and in small community meetings.
