David Vehon to assume the duties and responsibilities as USS Jacksonville (SSN 699) commanding officer, June 25. Jacksonville is a Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine that was commissioned May 16, 1981, and commenced the inactivation and decommissioning process, Dec. 12, 2017, after completing 36 years of service.
