As part of a simulated disaster training exercise, a soldier from the Ohio National Guard’s 1194th Engineer Company crawls through a pipe, July 13, at Camp Sherman in Chillicothe, Ohio. As part of their 2012 Annual Training, a team of soldiers of the 1194th are participating in specialized Search and Extraction training. This training is the first step to becoming members of the Ohio National Guard’s Homeland Response Force. The Homeland Response Force is one of 10 organizations nationally that can respond to a major disaster situation.
