Lance Corporal Jordan Walker, a squad automatic weapon gunner with the Personal Security Detachment, Regimental Combat Team-7, provides security while Lance Cpl. Zachary Bowden, a dismounted sweeper with PSD, RCT-7, uses a metal detector to sweep for simulated improvised explosive devices during training here, July 12. The Counter-IED training was designed to refresh the tactics and procedures of the Marines as they begin Enhanced Mojave Viper 7-12 in preparation for an upcoming deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
