Staff Sgt. Zackery Noordyke from 127th Maintenance Squadron Inspection Element in the Phase Dock area inspects parts from an A-10 Thunderbolt II at Selfridge. During phase inspections the aircraft is taken apart, thouroughly inspected, and the team replaces parts that are worn or damaged. The aircraft is then put back together and readied for flight. Each aircraft goes through this grueling inspection periodically to make ensure the pilot is safe and the aircraft is ready for any mission around the globe.
