(June 26, 2020) Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) Christian Cabedo, a native of Dededo, Guam, grinds down an arresting cable as part of a rereeve evolution aboard Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Rereeving is a process used to remove an old arresting cable while pulling a new one into place. Carl Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance pierside in Bremerton, Wash.
