(June 26, 2020) Sailors assigned to Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) help move one of the ship's arresting cables from the hangar bay to an arresting gear machinery room below the flight deck as part of a rereeve evolution. Rereeving is a process used to remove an old arresting cable while pulling a new one into place. Carl Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance pierside in Bremerton, Wash.
