BACH Commander Col. Patrick T. Birchfield welcomed Regional Health Command-Atlantic Commander Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi to the hospital July 28, replacing the traditional handshake with an elbow bump. Brig. Gen. Lodi received a first-hand look at BACH's COVID response operations and the hospital’s role enabling medical readiness for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell units. Headquartered on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, RHC-A is the largest health command in Army Medicine, which includes all Army medical centers, hospitals and clinics east of the Mississippi River.
