FORT BENNING, Ga. – During a ceremony reactivating the Army's 197th Infantry Brigade here July 31, Maj. Gen. Patrick J. Donahoe (foreground, right), commanding general of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, passes the brigade's colors to its new commander, Col. Bart G. Hensler, on the parade ground of the National Infantry Museum just outside Fort Benning. The Army inactivated the brigade in 2013, but has reactivated it to increase the ability to train recruits for service with the Infantry through what is known as Infantry One-Station Unit Training, or OSUT.
