YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 1, 2020) - Seaman Isaiah Lopez, from San Antonio, Texas, conducts safety preservation maintenance on a handrail on the main deck of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Sailors conduct safety preservation maintenance to ensure the infrastructure of the ship is operationally ready and safe for personnel. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
